Akṛtavraṇa’s Account Begins: Gādhi–Satyavatī–Ṛcīka and the Bhārgava Lineage Prelude

Educational Q&A

A boon (vara) offered by a revered elder is not merely generosity but a moral commitment; it highlights the dharmic power of truthful speech and the responsibility of the recipient to ask for what is righteous and beneficial.

Bhṛgu, pleased, addresses his daughter-in-law and invites her to choose a boon, assuring her that he will grant whatever she wishes.
