Akṛtavraṇa’s Account Begins: Gādhi–Satyavatī–Ṛcīka and the Bhārgava Lineage Prelude
सहस्र॑ं वाजिनामेकं शुल्कार्थ मे प्रदीयताम् तस्मै प्रादात् सहस््न॑ं वै वाजिनां वरुणस्तदा
sahasraṁ vājinām ekaṁ śulkārthaṁ me pradīyatām | tasmai prādāt sahasraṁ vai vājināṁ varuṇas tadā ||
Akṛtavraṇa dijo: «Que se me entregue un millar de caballos como śulka (precio nupcial)». Entonces Varuṇa, en aquel momento, le concedió en verdad mil caballos.
