Surabhi–Indra Dialogue as a Governance Exemplar
ब्रूयाद् यदेष कौरव्य तत् कार्यमविशड्कया । अक्रियायां तु कार्यस्य पुत्र ते शप्स्यते रुषा,कुरुनन्दन! मैत्रेय जो कुछ कहें, उसे निःशंक होकर करना चाहिये। यदि उनके बताये हुए कार्यकी अवहेलना की गयी तो वे कुपित होकर तुम्हारे पुत्रको शाप दे देंगे
brūyād yadeṣa kauravya tat kāryam aviśaṅkayā | akriyāyāṁ tu kāryasya putra te śapsyate ruṣā, kurunandana ||
Dijo Vyāsa: «Oh vástago de los Kuru, cuanto te diga este sabio, hazlo sin vacilar. Pero si la tarea que prescribe queda sin cumplirse, entonces, airado, maldecirá a tu hijo, oh deleite de los Kuru».
