इन्द्रस्य दुःखप्राप्तिः—त्रिशिरोवधः, वृत्रोत्पत्तिः, जृम्भिकाजननम्
Indra’s Distress: Slaying of Triśiras, Birth of Vṛtra, and the Origin of Yawning
यतिष्यामो वशे कर्तु व्यपनेतुं च ते भयम् । देव! जो तपोनिधि विश्वरूप अपने दोनों नेत्रोंसे सबको दग्ध करते हुए-से विराज रहे हैं, उन्हें प्रलोभनमें डालनेके लिये हम सब अप्सराएँ एक साथ जा रही हैं। वहाँ उन्हें वशमें करने तथा आपके भयको दूर हटानेके लिये हम पूर्ण प्रयत्न करेंगी ।।
śalya uvāca | indreṇa tāstv anu jñātā jagmustriśiraso 'ntikam | tatra tā vividhair bhāvair lubhayantyo varāṅganāḥ | indriyāṇi vaśe kṛtvā pūrvasāgarasaṃnibhaḥ ||
Dijo Śalya: «Oh rey, con el permiso de Indra, aquellas apsaras fueron a Triśiras. Allí, las hermosas mujeres intentaron seducirlo con toda clase de gestos y expresiones. Pero aquel gran asceta, con los sentidos dominados, permaneció sereno e inconmovible, como el apacible océano oriental.»
