Even when conflict seems inevitable, dharma requires a sincere attempt at reconciliation through timely, truthful, and beneficial speech; peace-making is presented as a moral duty before resorting to war.
Arjuna urges Kṛṣṇa to go to Duryodhana and deliver appropriate words aimed at establishing peace, acknowledging Duryodhana’s harsh temperament while still treating him as family and seeking to avert war.
