Sañjaya’s Knowledge of Keśava and the Discipline of Indriya-nigraha (संजयस्य केशवज्ञानम्—इन्द्रियनिग्रह-उपदेशः)
इति श्रीमहाभारते उद्योगपर्वणि यानसंधिपर्वणि संजयवाक्येडष्टषष्टितमो5 ध्याय: ।। ६८ || इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत उद्योगपर्वके अन्तर्गत यानसंधिपर्वमें संजयवाक्यविषयक अड़सठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti śrīmahābhārate udyogaparvaṇi yānasaṃdhiparvaṇi saṃjayavākye aṣṭaṣaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ || 68 ||
Sanjaya dijo: «Así, en el Śrī Mahābhārata, dentro del Udyoga Parva—en particular en la sección Yāna–Saṃdhi sobre el viaje y las negociaciones de paz—concluye el capítulo sexagésimo octavo, compuesto por la narración de Sanjaya».
संजय उवाच
This verse is a colophon marking the close of a chapter. Its ethical significance lies in framing the preceding discourse within the Mahābhārata’s larger concern: the attempt at saṃdhi (peace) before resorting to war, reminding readers that negotiation and restraint are integral to dharma even amid inevitable conflict.
Sanjaya concludes his narration for this chapter, and the text formally announces that the sixty-eighth chapter of the Yāna-saṃdhi section within the Udyoga Parva has ended.
