दुर्योधन उवाच उभौ स्व एकजातीयौ तथोभौ भूमिगोचरीौ । अथ कस्मात् पाण्डवानामेकतो मन्यसे जयम्,दुर्योधन बोला--पिताजी! हम कौरव तथा पाण्डव दोनों एक ही जातिके हैं और दोनों इसी भूमिपर रहते हैं। फिर एकमात्र पाण्डवोंकी ही विजय होगी, यह धारणा आपने कैसे बना ली?
Transliteration
duryodhana uvāca | ubhau sva-ekajātīyau tathobhau bhūmi-gocarau | atha kasmāt pāṇḍavānām ekato manyase jayam |
Translation
Dijo Duryodhana: «Padre, ambos bandos son de un mismo linaje, y ambos se mueven y viven sobre esta misma tierra. ¿Por qué, entonces, has formado la convicción de que la victoria pertenecerá sólo a los Pāṇḍavas?»
