चालयन्तीव गां देवीं सपर्वतवनामिमाम् । चारों ओरसे उन वीरोंके जो सैनिक आ रहे थे, वे पर्वतों और वनोंसहित इस सारी पृथ्वीको प्रकम्पित-सी कर रहे थे
cālayantīva gāṃ devīṃ saparvatavanām imām |
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Cuando las tropas de aquellos guerreros heroicos avanzaban desde todas las direcciones, parecían sacudir esta tierra entera —venerada como una diosa— junto con sus montañas y sus bosques.
