Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 30: Sañjaya’s Departure and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Commission of Greetings
'शत्रुदमन नरेश! जब वे बालक थे, तब आपकी ही कृपासे उन्हें राज्य मिला था। पहले उन्हें राज्यपर बिठाकर अब अपने ही आगे उन्हें नष्ट होते देख उपेक्षा न कीजिये” ।।
sarvam apy etad ekasya nālaṃ saṃjaya kasyacit | tāta saṃhatya jīvāmo dviṣatāṃ mā vaśaṃ gamaḥ ||
«Oh domador de enemigos, oh rey: cuando eran niños, por tu gracia obtuvieron el reino. Aséntalos primero en la soberanía y no los desatiendas, no sea que los veas perecer ante tus propios ojos.» Y, Sañjaya, dile también: «Padre, este reino entero no está hecho para bastar a un solo hombre. Vivamos todos unidos y sostengamos la vida en paz; no obres de otro modo y no caigas bajo el dominio de nuestros enemigos.»
