क्षत्रदेवब्रह्म॒देवी रथस्थौ पुरुषर्षभौ । जघनं पालयन्तौ च पृष्ठतो<नुप्रजग्मतु:,क्षत्रदेव और ब्रह्मदेव ये दोनों पुरुषरत्न रथपर बैठकर सेनाके पिछले भागकी रक्षा करते हुए पीछे-पीछे जा रहे थे
kṣatradeva-brahmadevī rathasthau puruṣarṣabhau | jaghanaṁ pālayantau ca pṛṣṭhato 'nuprajagmatuḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Kṣatradeva y Brahmadevī—dos de los más eminentes entre los hombres—iban en un carro, siguiendo por detrás mientras guardaban la retaguardia del ejército.
