हन्यामहं महाभाग पाण्डवानामनीकिनीम् | दिवसे दिवसे कृत्वा भागं प्रागाह्लिकं मम,महाभाग! मैं प्रतिदिन पाण्डवोंकी सेनाको पहले अपने दैनिक भागमें विभक्त करके उसका वध करूँगा
hanyām ahaṃ mahābhāga pāṇḍavānām anīkinīm | divase divase kṛtvā bhāgaṃ prāgāhlikaṃ mama ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Oh noble señor, abatiré al ejército de los Pāṇḍava. Día tras día, tras apartar primero mi porción diaria asignada —en la primera parte de la mañana—, procederé a su destrucción.»
