ततस्तु भगवानिन्द्र: संहृष्ट:ः समपद्यत । वरं च प्रददौ तस्मै अथर्वाज्िरसे तदा,इससे भगवान् इन्द्र उनपर बहुत प्रसन्न हुए और उन्होंने उस समय अथर्वांगिरसको यह वर दिया--
tatastu bhagavān indraḥ saṁhṛṣṭaḥ samapadyata | varaṁ ca pradadau tasmai atharvāṅgirase tadā ||
Entonces el bienaventurado Indra, grandemente complacido, se acercó con favor; y en aquel momento concedió un don a Atharvāṅgirasa, dando a entender que el mérito espiritual sincero y la conducta recta pueden atraer la aprobación divina y un auxilio tangible.
शल्य उवाच
Divine favor (vara) is portrayed as responding to genuine merit and right spiritual conduct; the narrative frames boons not as arbitrary gifts but as acknowledgments of worthiness.
Śalya reports that Indra, becoming very pleased, approaches and grants a boon to the sage Atharvāṅgirasa, marking a turning point where approval is concretely expressed through a promised gift.
