कवचेन महाबाहो सोमार्ककृतलक्ष्मणा | धनुर्धरो बद्धतूणो बद्धगोधाड्गुलित्रवान्,महाबाहो! परशुरामजीने एक सुन्दर कवच धारण कर रखा था, जिसमें चन्द्रमा और सूर्यके चिह्न बने हुए थे। उन्होंने हाथमें धनुष लेकर पीठपर तरकस बाँध रखा था और अंगुलियोंकी रक्षाके लिये गोहके चर्मके बने हुए दस्ताने पहन रखे थे
kavacena mahābāho somārkakṛtalakṣmaṇā | dhanurdharo baddhatūṇo baddhagodhāṅgulitravān ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «¡Oh, de brazos poderosos! Vestía una fina cota de malla marcada con los emblemas de la luna y el sol. Portando su arco, con el carcaj sujeto a la espalda, llevaba también atados protectores para los dedos hechos de piel de iguana, para resguardar su mano».
