अम्बा–राम–भीष्म संवादः

Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge

यस्मात्‌ संशयिते<प्यर्थेड्य थान्यायं प्रवर्तसे । तस्माद्‌ योत्स्यामि सहितस्त्वया राम महाहवे,“राम! “अम्बा ग्रहण करनेयोग्य है या नहीं” यह संशयग्रस्त विषय है तो भी आप इसे ग्रहण करनेके लिये मुझसे न्यायोचित बर्ताव नहीं कर रहे हैं; इसलिये महान्‌ समरांगणमें आपके साथ युद्ध करूँगा

yasmāt saṁśayite 'py arthe yathā-nyāyaṁ pravartase | tasmād yotsyāmi sahitas tvayā rāma mahāhave ||

Dijo: «Oh Rāma, aunque este asunto siga siendo dudoso—si Ambā es digna de ser aceptada o no—no estás tratando conmigo conforme a la justicia. Por ello, oh Rāma, en la gran batalla lucharé contigo, frente a frente».
