Ambā Seeks Refuge with Rāma Jāmadagnya
भीष्मे वा कुरुशार्टूले शाल्वराजे5थवा पुन: । उभयोरेव वा ब्रह्मन् युक्ते यत् तत् समाचर,ब्रह्मन! कुरुश्रेष्ठ भीष्मके साथ अथवा शाल्वराजके साथ अथवा दोनोंके ही साथ जो उचित बर्ताव हो, वह करें
bhīṣme vā kuruśārdūle śālvarāje ’thavā punaḥ | ubhayor eva vā brahman yuktaṃ yat tat samācara ||
Akṛtavraṇa dijo: «Oh brāhmana, ya se trate de Bhīṣma—el tigre entre los Kurus—o del rey de Śālva, o incluso de ambos a la vez, obra exactamente según lo que sea conveniente y debido en estas circunstancias».
अकृतव्रण उवाच
Act according to what is yuktam—what is fitting, reasonable, and dharma-consistent—rather than being driven by partiality; the counsel emphasizes propriety in dealing with powerful parties (Bhīṣma, the Śālva king, or both).
Akṛtavraṇa addresses a Brāhmaṇa adviser, directing him to adopt the proper course of conduct in negotiations or dealings involving Bhīṣma and/or the king of Śālva, stressing correct, situation-appropriate action.
