Shloka 22

अम्बोपाख्याने तापसानां विचारः तथा होत्रवाहनस्य उपदेशः

त्वया त्यक्ता गमिष्यामि यत्र तत्र विशाम्पते । तत्र मे गतय: सन्तु सन्त: सत्यं यथा ध्रुवम्‌,“राजन! यदि मेरी कही बात निश्चितरूपसे सत्य हो तो तुमसे परित्यक्त होनेपर मैं जहाँ- जहाँ जाऊँ, वहाँ-वहाँ साधु पुरुष मुझे सहारा देनेवाले हों”

tvayā tyaktā gamiṣyāmi yatra tatra viśāmpate | tatra me gatayaḥ santu santaḥ satyaṃ yathā dhruvam ||

Dijo Bhīṣma: «Oh señor de los pueblos, si lo que he dicho es en verdad firme y cierto, entonces, cuando sea repudiada por ti y vaya adonde me sea dado ir, que allí halle mi camino sostenido por los buenos—tan seguro como la verdad, que es inmutable.»
