सहदेवं शकुनये चेकितानं शलाय वै | द्रौपदेयांस्तथा पउ्च त्रिगर्तेभ्य:ः समादिशत्,सहदेवको शकुनिका, चेकितानको शलका और द्रौपदीके पाँचों पुत्रोंको त्रिगर्तोंका सामना करनेके लिये नियत कर दिया
sahadevaṃ śakunaye cekitānaṃ śalāya vai | draupadeyāṃs tathā pañca trigartebhyaḥ samādiśat ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Asignó a Sahadeva para enfrentar a Śakuni, a Cekitāna para confrontar a Śala, y asimismo destinó a los cinco hijos de Draupadī a medirse con los Trigartas. La disposición refleja una ética deliberada del campo de batalla: cada guerrero es dirigido hacia un adversario adecuado, subrayando la disciplina y la responsabilidad antes que el ímpetu irreflexivo.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined leadership in war: a commander assigns specific warriors to appropriate opponents, implying accountability, order, and adherence to kṣatriya-dharma rather than chaotic violence.
Sañjaya reports the allocation of combat roles: Sahadeva is directed toward Śakuni, Cekitāna toward Śala, and the five Draupadeyas are tasked to confront the Trigarta forces.
