Bhīṣma’s Appointment as Commander-in-Chief
शकुनि: सौबलश्चैव कर्णदुःशासनावपि । त्वय्ययुक्तान्यभाषन्त मूढा मूढममर्षणम्,सुबलपुत्र शकुनि, कर्ण और दुःशासन--इन तीनों मूखोंने मूढ़ और असहिष्णु दुर्योधनके समीप आपके विषयमें अनेक अनुचित बातें कही थीं
śakuniḥ saubalaś caiva karṇa-duḥśāsanāv api | tvayy ayuktāny abhāṣanta mūḍhā mūḍham amarṣaṇam ||
Dijo Kṛṣṇa: «Śakuni, hijo de Subala, junto con Karṇa y Duḥśāsana —esos tres hombres extraviados— profirieron muchas palabras impropias e injustas sobre ti, dirigiéndolas al necio e intolerante Duryodhana».
