Vaiśampāyana dijo: De todas partes se alzaron los sonidos de caballos y elefantes, y el retumbo de las ruedas de los carros. En torno, el clamor de las caracolas y el estruendo de los timbales resonaron en un tumulto aterrador, señal del ímpetu creciente de la guerra.
