yas tatāpa tapo ghoraṁ sadāraḥ pṛthivīpatiḥ | roṣād droṇavināśāya vīraḥ samitiśobhanaḥ ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: El rey heroico, acompañado de su esposa, emprendió una áspera austeridad.
