Decision on Command and the Pandavas’ March to Kurukshetra

Educational Q&A

This line itself is not a doctrinal verse but a colophon. Its ‘teaching’ is structural: it frames the preceding content as Śrī Kṛṣṇa’s counsel within his peace-embassy, highlighting that ethical persuasion and dharmic negotiation are central themes before the outbreak of war.

The chapter concludes. The colophon locates the episode in the Udyoga Parva’s Bhagavad-yāna section, where Kṛṣṇa undertakes a diplomatic mission and speaks to guide the parties toward a just settlement, even as conflict approaches.
