(Karṇa–Kṛṣṇa-saṃvādaḥ) — Karṇa’s Statement on Lineage, Loyalty, and the ‘Śastra-yajña’ Metaphor
Scriptural knowledge is presented as a qualification for ethical discernment: one who understands the eternal Vedic doctrines and the subtle reasoning of Dharmaśāstra is expected to judge duty correctly, especially when moral questions are complex.
Vāyu addresses Karna directly, praising his mastery of Vedic teachings and his firm grounding in the subtle points of Dharmaśāstra, positioning him as someone capable of understanding and deciding matters of dharma in the tense pre-war context of the Udyoga Parva.
