सुखं नैवेह नामुत्र लभन्ते पुरुषाधमा: । बेटा! जो इस प्रकार विनयशून्य एवं अशिक्षित पौत्रसे हर्षको प्राप्त होता है तथा उद्योगरहित, दुर्विनीत एवं दुर्बुद्धि पुत्रसे सुख मानता है, उसका संतानोत्पादन व्यर्थ है; क्योंकि वे अयोग्य पुत्र-पौत्र पहले तो कर्म ही नहीं करते हैं और यदि करते हैं तो निन्दित कर्म ही करते हैं, इससे वे अधम मनुष्य न तो इस लोकमें सुख पाते हैं और न परलोकमें ही
