Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 130: Kuntī’s Instruction on Rājadharma and Daṇḍanīti
अग्रे बभूवु: कृष्णस्य समुद्यतमहायुधा: । भीमसेन, युधिष्ठिर तथा माद्रीनन्दन नकुलसहदेव भगवानके पृष्ठभागमें स्थित थे। प्रद्यम्म आदि वृष्णिवंशी तथा अन्धकवंशी योद्धा हाथोंमें विशाल आयुध धारण किये भगवानके अग्रभागमें प्रकट हुए
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
agre babhūvuḥ kṛṣṇasya samudyata-mahāyudhāḥ |
bhīmasenaḥ yudhiṣṭhiraś ca tathā mādrīnandana-nakula-sahadevau bhagavataḥ pṛṣṭhabhāge sthitāḥ |
pradyumnādayo vṛṣṇivaṃśyā andhakavaṃśyāś ca yoddhā hastayoḥ viśālāyudhāni dhārayantaḥ bhagavataḥ agrabhāge prādurabhavan |
Vaiśampāyana dijo: Delante de Kṛṣṇa se alzaban guerreros con grandes armas en alto. Detrás del Señor estaban Bhīmasena, Yudhiṣṭhira y los hijos de Mādrī—Nakula y Sahadeva. En la vanguardia del Señor aparecieron Pradyumna y otros héroes de los linajes Vṛṣṇi y Andhaka, empuñando enormes armas en sus manos. La formación subraya un orden dhármico de protección: los líderes justos quedan resguardados, mientras los combatientes más aguerridos ocupan el frente bajo la guía de Kṛṣṇa.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic order in conflict: righteous leadership is safeguarded, and capable protectors take the front under Kṛṣṇa’s direction, suggesting that power should be organized to defend justice rather than to display aggression.
Vaiśampāyana describes a martial arrangement around Kṛṣṇa: armed Vṛṣṇi-Andhaka heroes (including Pradyumna) stand in front as the vanguard, while key Pāṇḍava figures—Bhīma, Yudhiṣṭhira, and the twins Nakula-Sahadeva—remain positioned behind him.
