Sound counsel grounded in welfare (hita) and right conduct is affirmed as beneficial not merely for an individual but for the whole community; here, even the gods endorse the statement as universally salutary.
After a Brahman (or learned speaker) offers advice, the gods become pleased and respond, praising the counsel as excellent and declaring it to be in the interest of all heavenly beings.
