चतस्र: क्रमयोगेन कामाशां गन्तुमिच्छसि । तात! इस प्रकार मैंने क्रमश: चारों दिशाओंका तुम्हारे सामने विस्तारपूर्वक वर्णन किया है। कहो, किस दिशामें चलना चाहते हो?
catasraḥ kramayogena kāmāśāṃ gantum icchasi | tāta! iti prakāraṃ mayā kramaśaś catasro diśas tava purataḥ vistārapūrvakaṃ varṇitāḥ | vada, kasyāṃ diśi gantum icchasi?
«Deseas avanzar, paso a paso, hacia la dirección que anhelas. Hijo querido, de este modo te he descrito en orden los cuatro rumbos con todo detalle. Dime: ¿hacia qué dirección eliges ir?»
युपर्ण उवाच
The verse emphasizes orderly instruction and deliberate choice: after laying out all options (the four quarters) clearly and sequentially, the guide invites the listener to decide consciously rather than impulsively.
Yuparṇa addresses the listener affectionately, stating that he has already described the four directions in detail and now asks which direction the listener wishes to take, marking a transition from explanation to decision.
