त्रिलोककिक्रमे ब्रह्मन्नुत्तरां दिशमाश्रितम् । अत्र राज्ञा मरुत्तेन यज्ञेनेष्ट द्विजोत्तम
trilokakikrame brahmann uttarāṁ diśam āśritam | atra rājñā maruttena yajñeneṣṭa dvijottama
Dijo Yuparṇa: «Oh brahmán, esta región se halla hacia el norte, célebre como lugar que “abarca los tres mundos”. Aquí, oh mejor de los dos veces nacidos, el rey Marutta celebró antaño un gran sacrificio».
