Gālava’s Despair and Resolve to Seek Viṣṇu
The verse highlights the ethical power of śuśrūṣā—humble, attentive service. Such disciplined devotion can ‘win over’ even great sages, leading them to offer guidance and encouragement rather than mere instruction.
Nārada narrates that the venerable sage, recognizing the situation and being pleased by devoted service, repeatedly encourages Viśvāmitra with the emphatic command “Go on, go on,” urging him forward in his undertaking.
