सुमुखश्न॒ मया सार्ध देवेशमभिगच्छतु । कार्यसंसाधनार्थाय स्वस्ति ते5स्तु भुजंगम,“नागराज! आपका कल्याण हो। सुमुख अपने अभीष्ट कार्यकी सिद्धिके लिये मेरे साथ देवराज इन्द्रके पास चले”
Sumukhaś ca mayā sārdhaṁ deveśam abhigacchatu | kāryasaṁsādhanārthāya svasti te 'stu bhujaṅgama ||
Dijo Kaṇva: «Que Sumukha vaya conmigo ante el Señor de los dioses (Indra), para llevar a término la tarea necesaria. Oh serpiente, que el bienestar sea contigo.»
कण्व उवाच
The verse emphasizes pursuing one’s objective through proper, sanctioned channels—approaching legitimate authority (here, Indra) for success—while maintaining goodwill and offering blessings, reflecting ethical intent alongside practical action.
Sage Kaṇva instructs that Sumukha should accompany him to Indra to secure the accomplishment of a particular task, and he blesses the serpent-being with auspiciousness as they set this plan in motion.
