Yuddha-yajña-vyākhyāna (The Battle as Sacrifice): Ambarīṣa–Indra Saṃvāda
नायकं तत्कुमारं वा यो वा स्याद् यत्र पूजित:
nāyakaṃ tatkumāraṃ vā yo vā syād yatra pūjitaḥ

Honor and precedence should be aligned with rightful reverence in a given context; dharma is shown through recognizing who is truly worthy of respect, not merely who holds a title.
Ambarīṣa is speaking about whom one should acknowledge—whether a leader, a prince, or anyone else—emphasizing that the person honored in that setting is to be treated accordingly.
