Treasury Security, Protection of Informants, and the Kalakavṛkṣīya Exemplum (Śānti Parva 83)

भवतो<र्थकृदित्येवं मयि दोषो हि तै: कृत: । विद्यते कारणं नान्यदिति मे नात्र संशय:,मैं आपकी भलाई करनेवाला हूँ, यही इन मन्त्रियोंने मुझमें बड़ा भारी दोष पाया है और इसीलिये ये मुझसे द्वेष रखने लगे हैं। इसके सिवा दूसरा कोई इनके रोषका कारण नहीं है। मुझे अपने इस कथनकी सत्यतामें कोई संदेह नहीं है

bhavato 'rthakṛd ity evaṁ mayi doṣo hi taiḥ kṛtaḥ | vidyate kāraṇaṁ nānyad iti me nātra saṁśayaḥ ||

Dijo Bhishma: «Porque obro por tu bienestar, esos ministros me han imputado una grave falta; y por esa misma razón han llegado a aborrecerme. No hay otra causa para su ira; de esto no tengo duda alguna».
