Yogakṣema, Purohita, and the Mucukunda–Vaiśravaṇa Dialogue (योगक्षेम–पुरोहित–मुचुकुन्दवैश्रवणसंवादः)
नाच्छिन्दे चाप्यनिर्दिष्टमिति जानीहि पार्थिव । प्रशाधि पृथिवीं कृत्स्नां मद्दत्तामखिलामिमाम् | एवमुक्त: प्रत्युवाच मुचुकुन्दो महीपति:,तब कुबेरने पुरोहितसहित राजा मुचुकुन्दसे कहा--'पृथ्वीपते! मैं ईश्वरकी आज्ञाके बिना न तो किसीको राज्य देता हूँ और न भगवान्की अनुमतिके बिना दूसरेका राज्य छीनता ही हूँ। इस बातको तुम अच्छी तरह समझ लो। यद्यपि ऐसी ही बात है तो भी आज मैं तुम्हें इस सारी पृथ्वीका राज्य दे रहा हूँ। तुम मेरी दी हुई इस सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वीका शासन करो'। उनके ऐसा कहनेपर राजा मुचुकुन्दने इस प्रकार उत्तर दिया
nācchinde cāpyanirdiṣṭam iti jānīhi pārthiva | praśādhi pṛthivīṁ kṛtsnāṁ maddattām akhilām imām || evam uktaḥ pratyuvāca mucukundo mahīpatiḥ |
«Sábelo bien, oh rey: tampoco arrebato lo que no me ha sido expresamente asignado. Gobierna la tierra entera: este reino completo que ahora te concedo.» Dicho esto, el rey Mucukunda respondió.
