अशृण्वाना: पुराणानां धर्माणां परमा गती: । उत्पथं प्रतिपत्स्यन्ते काममन्युसमीरिता:

Transliteration

aśṛṇvānāḥ purāṇānāṃ dharmāṇāṃ paramā gatīḥ | utpathaṃ pratipatsyante kāma-manyu-samīritāḥ ||

Translation

Indra dijo: «Impulsados por el deseo y la ira, los hombres se apartarán de las enseñanzas antiguas y no escucharán la meta suprema del dharma que proclaman los Purāṇa. Agitados por esas pasiones, tomarán el camino errado y se desviarán del fruto más alto de la conducta justa.»
