मन्वन्तरेषु सर्वेषु विषमा जायते मही । उज्जहार ततो वैन्य: शिलाजालान्‌ समन्तत:

Transliteration

manvantareṣu sarveṣu viṣamā jāyate mahī | ujjahāra tato vainyaḥ śilājālān samantataḥ ||

Translation

Dijo Bhīṣma: «En cada Manvantara la tierra se vuelve desigual y obstruida. Por ello Vainya (el rey Pṛthu) retiró por todas partes las redes de barreras rocosas, restaurando el orden y la utilidad del suelo».
