Educational Q&A

Though brief, the verse underscores a dharmic ideal: righteous leadership and moral recovery are not solitary acts. Yudhiṣṭhira’s kingship is shown in concert with his brothers, suggesting shared duty, counsel, and solidarity in rebuilding order after conflict.

Vaiśampāyana continues the narration by stating that Yudhiṣṭhira, together with the twins (Nakula and Sahadeva) and also Bhīma and Arjuna, moves forward as a group—marking a transition to the next action or setting in the discourse of Śānti Parva.
