Śānti Parva, Adhyāya 52 — Bhīṣma’s Humility Before Kṛṣṇa and the Granting of Boons
The verse underscores that honoring the divine through Vedic speech is a dharmic act: the highest authorities (maharṣis) affirm right order by offering reverence grounded in sacred revelation rather than personal preference.
After the preceding events, the assembled great sages—together with Vyāsa—perform worship of Kṛṣṇa, praising him with mantras and utterances associated with the three Vedas (Ṛg, Yajus, and Sāma).
