Bhīṣma on the Śara-Śayyā: Yudhiṣṭhira and Kṛṣṇa Approach the Eldest for Śānti
The verse highlights dharmic conduct after conflict: rulers and heroes must show humility, honor sages and elders, and seek ethical guidance rather than act from pride or triumph.
Kṛṣṇa, Sātyaki, and other kings first pay respects to Vyāsa and the leading sages, then approach Bhīṣma (Gāṅgeya) and stand by him in attendance, preparing to receive counsel in the Śānti Parva setting.
