गोलाड्गुलैर्महा भागो गृध्रकूटेडभिरक्षित: । महातेजस्वी महा भाग बृहद्रथ महान् ऐश्वर्यसे सम्पन्न है। उसे गृध्रकूट पर्वतपर लंगूरोंने बचाया था
golāḍgulair mahābhāgo gṛdhrakūṭeḍabhir rakṣitaḥ | mahātejasvī mahābhāga bṛhadratha mahān aiśvaryase sampannaḥ ||
Vāsudeva dijo: «Aquel ilustre y muy afortunado Bṛhadratha —de gran esplendor y dotado de vasta soberanía— fue protegido en el monte Gṛdhrakūṭa por las huestes de monos.»
वासुदेव उवाच
The verse underscores the ethical ideal that rightful authority is sustained not merely by power but by protection grounded in loyalty and dharma; even a great ruler may depend on devoted guardians and timely refuge.
Vāsudeva describes Bṛhadratha as a mighty, prosperous king who, at a critical moment, was safeguarded on Mount Gṛdhrakūṭa by monkeys (langūrs), emphasizing his preservation and continued sovereignty.
