Service to Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Allocation of State Duties
मन्त्रे च निश्चये चैव षाड्गुण्यस्य च चिन्तने । विदुरं बुद्धिसम्पन्नं प्रीतिमान् स समादिशत्,फिर उन्होंने बड़ी प्रसन्नताके साथ बुद्धिमान् विदुरजीको मन्त्रणाःं, कर्तव्यनिश्चय तथा छहों- गुणोंके चिन्तनके कार्यमें नियुक्त किया
mantre ca niścaye caiva ṣāḍguṇyasya ca cintane | viduraṃ buddhisampannaṃ prītimān sa samādiśat ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Con alegría, designó al sabio Vidura para la labor del consejo, para la firme determinación de lo que debe hacerse y para la reflexión sobre los seis principios del arte de gobernar, a fin de que la política fuese guiada por la inteligencia y la prudencia ética, y no por el arrebato.
