यत्र देवो महाबाहु: शाश्वतः पुरुषोत्तम: । अनादिनिधनो विप्र किमाश्नर्यमत: परम्
yatra devo mahābāhuḥ śāśvataḥ puruṣottamaḥ | anādinidhano vipra kim āścaryam ataḥ param ||
Dijo el Nāga: «Oh brāhmaṇa, ¿qué maravilla podría ser mayor que ésta: que en el resplandor extraordinario del Sol habite el eterno Puruṣottama, de brazos poderosos, sin principio ni fin? De él nacen las múltiples semillas de la vida, y por su sostén se mantiene esta tierra entera, con todo lo móvil y lo inmóvil. Si Nārāyaṇa mismo resplandece en el orbe del Sol, ¿qué podría superar eso en maravilla?»
