The Brahmin’s Vow and the Nāgas’ Hospitality Appeal

Educational Q&A

Liberation is described as transcending the three guṇas of prakṛti; when the mind is free from their sway, the seeker naturally realizes and ‘enters’ the nirguṇa Paramātman, identified here with Vāsudeva as the indwelling Kṣetrajña in all beings.

Nārada is instructing listeners in a mokṣa-oriented discourse: he explains the post-realization state of exemplary dvijas who, having become guṇa-free, attain the Supreme Self, and he directs the audience to recognize Vāsudeva as the universal inner witness and support.
