धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)
त्रैलोक्येडपह्ते तेन विमुखे च शचीपतौ । अदित्यां द्वादशादित्य: सम्भविष्यामि कश्यपात्,जब वह त्रिलोकीका अपहरण कर लेगा और शचीपति इन्द्र युद्धमें पीठ दिखाकर भाग जायँगे, उस समय मैं कश्यपजीके अंश और अदितिके गर्भसे बारहवाँ आदित्य वामन बनकर प्रकट होऊँगा
trailokye 'pahṛte tena vimukhe ca śacīpatau | adityāṁ dvādaśādityaḥ sambhaviṣyāmi kaśyapāt ||
Bhīṣma dijo: «Cuando él haya tomado los tres mundos, y cuando el señor de Śacī (Indra) se vuelva y huya del combate, entonces yo naceré de Kaśyapa—entrando en el seno de Aditi—como el duodécimo Āditya, manifestándome como Vāmana».
