धर्मस्य बहुद्वारत्वम् — Nārada’s Audience with Indra (Śānti-parva 340)

नित्यं हि नास्ति जगति भूतं स्थावरजड्भमम्‌ | ऋते तमेक॑ पुरुषं वासुदेव॑ सनातनम्‌,'संसारमें उस एकमात्र सनातन पुरुष वासुदेवको छोड़कर कोई भी चराचर भूत नित्य नहीं है

nityaṃ hi nāsti jagati bhūtaṃ sthāvara-jaḍaṅgamam | ṛte tam ekaṃ puruṣaṃ vāsudevaṃ sanātanam ||

Dijo Bhīṣma: En este mundo, nada entre los seres—sean inmóviles o móviles—es verdaderamente eterno. Sólo esa única Persona imperecedera, Vāsudeva, permanece aparte del flujo perecedero del saṃsāra. Esta enseñanza conduce la mente desde el apego a las formas transitorias hacia la devoción a la realidad divina imperecedera.
