चिन्ताव्याकुलितात्मानो जाता: स्मोडड्विरसां वर । “बृहस्पते! जब उस सुगन्धित वायुका चलना बंद हो गया और भगवान्‌को बलिसमर्पणका कार्य पूर्ण हो गया तब हमलोग मन-ही-मन चिन्तासे व्याकुल हो उठे ।। मानवानां सहस्रेषु तेषु वै शुद्धयोनिषु

cintāvyākulitātmano jātāḥ smoḍḍvirasāṃ vara | “bṛhaspate! yadā sugandhitavāyor gamanaṃ nivṛttaṃ bhagavato balisamarpaṇakāryaṃ ca pūrṇaṃ tadā vayaṃ manasā cintayā vyākulā babhūvima || mānavānāṃ sahasreṣu teṣu vai śuddhayoniṣu”

Bhishma dijo: «Oh Brihaspati, cuando cesó el movimiento de aquel viento fragante y cuando se hubo consumado la ofrenda de bali al Señor, nos agitamos por dentro, con la mente turbada por una reflexión ansiosa. Entre miles de seres humanos—sí, entre aquellos de linaje puro…»
