एकान्तिधर्म-प्रश्नः (Inquiry into Ekāntin Dharma) / The Origin and Practice of Single-Pointed Nārāyaṇa-Centered Discipline

नारायणानुशास्ता हि तदा देवी सरस्वती । विवेश तानृषीन्‌ सर्वाल्लॉंकानां हितकाम्यया,उपर्युक्त ऋषियोंने अन्य ऋषियोंके साथ एक हजार दिव्य वर्षोतक तपस्या करके भगवान्‌ नारायणकी आराधना की थी। उससे प्रसन्न होकर भगवानने सरस्वतीदेवीको उनके पास भेजा। नारायणकी आज्ञासे सम्पूर्ण लोकोंका हित करनेके लिये उस समय सरस्वती देवीने उन सम्पूर्ण ऋषियोंके भीतर प्रवेश किया था

nārāyaṇānuśāstā hi tadā devī sarasvatī | viveśa tān ṛṣīn sarvāl lokānāṃ hitakāmyayā ||

Dijo Bhīṣma: En aquel tiempo, la diosa Sarasvatī—obrando bajo el mandato de Nārāyaṇa—entró en todos aquellos sabios, movida por el deseo de procurar el bienestar de todos los mundos.
