त्यज धर्ममधर्म च उभे सत्यानृते त्यज । उभे सत्यानृते त्यक्त्वा येन त्यजसि तं॑ त्यज,धर्म और अधर्मको छोड़ो। सत्य और असत्य दोनोंका त्याग करो। सत्य और असत्य दोनोंका त्याग करके जिससे त्याग करते हो, उस अहंकारको भी त्याग दो

tyaja dharmam adharmaṃ ca ubhe satyānṛte tyaja | ubhe satyānṛte tyaktvā yena tyajasi taṃ tyaja ||

Nārada dijo: «Abandona tanto el dharma como el adharma; abandona tanto la verdad como la no-verdad. Habiendo renunciado a la verdad y a la no-verdad, renuncia incluso a aquello con lo que renuncias: suelta el mismo “yo” (ego) que se atribuye el acto de renunciar.»
