Adhyāya 33 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Post-Conflict Remorse and Inquiry on Āśrama Discipline (शोक-विमर्शः, आश्रम-जिज्ञासा)
दह्याम्यनिशमद्यापि चिन्तयान: पुनः पुनः । हीनां पार्थिवसिंहैस्तै: श्रीमद्धि: पृथिवीमिमाम्
dahyāmy aniśam adyāpi cintayānaḥ punaḥ punaḥ | hīnāṃ pārthiva-siṃhaiḥ taiḥ śrīmadbhiḥ pṛthivīm imām ||
Yudhiṣṭhira dijo: «Aún ahora ardo sin descanso, pensando una y otra vez en esta tierra —antaño engalanada de prosperidad—, hoy despojada de aquellos reyes, leones entre los hombres».
