अध्याय ३२३ — श्वेतद्वीपगमनम्, यज्ञभाग-विवादः, एकान्तिभक्त्या नारायणदर्शन-नियमः (Śvetadvīpa Journey; Dispute over Sacrificial Share; Rule of Nārāyaṇa-vision through Single-minded Devotion)

True tapas is marked by steadiness and mastery over bodily limitation: even under severe austerity, the ascetic’s prāṇa does not decline and fatigue does not overpower him, making such self-control exemplary for the world.
Bhīṣma describes an ascetic performing extremely harsh austerities, yet remaining unharmed and unwearied; this extraordinary resilience is presented as a marvel recognized across the three worlds.
