अध्याय ३२३ — श्वेतद्वीपगमनम्, यज्ञभाग-विवादः, एकान्तिभक्त्या नारायणदर्शन-नियमः (Śvetadvīpa Journey; Dispute over Sacrificial Share; Rule of Nārāyaṇa-vision through Single-minded Devotion)
Even the greatest cosmic powers—solar, lunar, elemental, and atmospheric deities—model dharmic humility by worshipping Mahadeva. The ethical implication is that authority and strength are perfected through reverence, self-restraint, and recognition of a higher spiritual principle.
Bhishma is listing major divine groups and cosmic forces (Adityas, Rudras, Sun, Moon, Vasus, Maruts, oceans, rivers) to emphasize that they too participate in the worship of Mahadeva, portraying Shiva as universally revered.
