Śuka’s Guṇa-Transcendence and Vyāsa’s Consolation (शुकगति-वर्णनम्)

अथ सत्याधिपत्ये5पि ज्ञानेनैवेह केवलम्‌ । मुच्यन्ते सर्वपापेभ्यो देहे परमके स्थिता:,मनुष्यरूप उत्तम शरीरमें स्थित हुए प्राणी प्रभुत्व रखते हुए भी केवल ज्ञानके ही बलसे यहाँ समस्त पापोंसे मुक्त हो जाते हैं

atha satyādhipatye 'pi jñānenaiva iha kevalam | mucyante sarvapāpebhyo dehe paramake sthitāḥ ||

Dijo Janaka: «Aun cuando se ejerza una soberanía fundada en la verdad, aquí sólo por el conocimiento los seres—aunque encarnados en la forma humana más excelsa—quedan libres de todos los pecados. La enseñanza subraya que el gobierno ético y el poder mundano no otorgan por sí mismos la liberación; la realización interior es el medio decisivo.»
